WATER BEHAVIOR LOGIC & DESIGN
OUR BUILDERS TELL US THAT PROPER DRAINAGE IS THE SINGLE MOST VALUABLE COST UNIT IN THEIR BUDGET.
THE STRUCTURE ITSELF...THE WALLS, THE FLOORS, THAT IMPORTED STONE, THE FOUNDATION, THE WINE COLLECTIONS...ALL AT RISK WITHOUT IT. THE DESIGN, THE DEPTH, THE EARTH, THE ROCK, THE PIPE, ARE ALL COMPONENTS OF A HIGH PERFORMING SYSTEM.
OUR SCUBA SUIT
Each DDC design is the result of many factors set about in the original design and engineering of the structure. Behaviors of water around the confines of the space. Whether new construction or remedial projects, we are precise in our approach to your project, ensuring the highest and best outcome to compliment our team of artisans, who apply the logic of design. We provide a turn key solution. Our dual or 3 tier FASP® system, waterproofing and backfill. It is a singular approach to a complete scuba suit.
WATERPROOFING
It's one component of our scuba suit. Using a 60 mil sheet membrane with a protective drain mat shield as a second layer, DDC waterproofing is the best form of insurance a homeowner can purchase, combining this with the most innovative basement drainage design using FASP® technology, multi-outlet redundancy, quadra-pump assemblies, and hybrid channel drains, we have developed the newest generation of basement protection.
BACKFILL
Techniques utilizing excavated soil, isolated from basement walls and waterproofing by installing an 18" to 24" column of natural wash gravel between the wall and the native soil. With a FASP® herringbone system installed beneath and around the lower perimeter of the basement, a mid-tier FASP® line and sub-surface collection lines, there is no chance for water to accumulate against the wall or create hydro-static pressure. This creates the subterranean envelope necessary to fully protect.
VENTILATION
In addition to a FASP® partial or full perimeter drainage system, a forced air ventilation system is custom designed to coordinate with our system and to provide a faster dry out of a crawlspace once installed. Fans with rubber isolation insulators are mounted on concrete grade beams where possible, eliminating any potential vibration noise sensations. Systems can be controlled through several optional methods from a simple switch to a fully automated control system with sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, wood moisture and dew points.
CONTROL SYSTEMS R&D
From our president's experience designing high voltage switch gear and controls at G.E., we have developed control systems designed to help homeowners, builders, commercial developers, architects and engineers to monitor items remotely and provide service dispatch service crews to clear any of several issues requested to keep an eye on. From a simple pilot light to warn of malfunction to a FASP GUARDIAN® to remotely monitor water levels, power status, ventilation, lift stations, condensation pan overflow, hard freeze alert and moisture levels.
WATER RECLAMATION R&D
The question becomes one of sustainability. We have taken sub-surface water and sump pump water to create neighborhood water features. Many of our basements take on 4-6000 gallons of water each day or 3-5 gallons per minute. On a consistent basis, for us, this translates to a must to find how we can recycle use of water. 95% of this water through documented testing has proven to be clean enough for plants and animals.
